Kathleen M. Kinyon, 69, Mountain, WI and South Padre Island, TX was called by the Lord to her heavenly home on Monday July 11, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI. The oldest of 4 children of Robert and Jeraldine (Crowley) Greeley was born December 19, 1951 in Milwaukee. She attended Neenah High School and Green Bay East High School, graduating with the class of 1970. Kathleen went on to obtain her college degree from the University of Phoenix and retired as a Manager at Intel Corp. in Santa Clara, California. She also spent 19 years in the US Navy Reserves and was proud to have served her country. Traveling for work and pleasure took Kathleen all over the world and said the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem had a huge lasting impact on her. Wherever Kathleen traveled, she easily made lasting friendships and throughout her life she had many hobbies including tennis, horseback riding, swimming and lifeguarding in her youth. Later in life, she enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling and spending time at her summer and winter homes entertaining with Bert.
On July 8, 1995 she was united in marriage to the love of her life and soul mate, Albert (Bert) Kinyon, in Oconto Falls, WI at the Methodist Church. They had just celebrated 26 wonderful years of Marriage at the time of her sudden death. The Good Lord blessed her with two children, LindaSue Matheu Alvarez, Green Bay, WI and her five children, Khalil, Breanna, Khaleb, Cole and Gabi, she will also be deeply missed by Brent (Amanda) Thompson, Bonduel, WI and their three children, Katlin, Dylan and Brooklyn; four great grandchildren and one on the way due in October 2021; her 3 siblings, Sue (Brad) Yocum, Jay (Bonnie) Greeley, and Mary (Bob) Hansen; Bert’s sister Elinor Thomas, brother Larry (Sue) Kinyon and sister-in-law Karen Kinyon; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and her Aunt Audrey Greeley. Kathy was also a beloved dog mom to her and Bert’s dogs, Maki and Jasper, who also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, and brother-in-law Harold Kinyon.
Visitation with the urn present will be held 1:00 until 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm. The Kinyon family wishes to thank all who took care of her medically over the last year and especially her devoted husband and caretaker Bert.
