Jamie M. Braun

Jamie M. Braun, 42, DePere, died suddenly of natural causes Monday morning, March 19, 2018.  He was born February 5, 1976 in Oconto Falls to Sherri Braun and Robert Konitzer.  Jamie grew up in Oconto Falls and Lena, graduating from Lena High School with the class of 1994.

On April 4, 2009 he married Pattie Latvala in DePere, where the couple has made their home and raised their family.  Jamie was employed at Englewood Marketing Group for many years until the time of his death.  He was also active in DePere youth sports including baseball, Pop Warner football and Fastbreak Basketball leagues and once coached.  Jamie will be lovingly remembered as an amazing husband, father, son and brother by his family.

Survivors are his wife, Pattie Braun; three children, Chase and Nick Braun, both at home; Jordan Dementer, Pulaski; his mother, Sherri Konitzer, Lena; siblings, Tory (Michelle) Konitzer, MA; Kristy Sherburne, Green Bay; Kandy Konitzer, Valders; K.C. (Robert) Brion, Elkhart Lake; Adam Konitzer and Renee, Port Washington; his mother-in-law, Blanche Latvala, Rapid River, MI; Godparents, Rick and Karen Braun, Bruce Braun and Avis; a special aunt, Rose “Tootie” Konitzer; very special friends, Richard Rugg and Rachel Treptow; two special dogs, Maverick and Bear; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert on March 19, 2014, paternal grandparents, George and Irene Konitzer, maternal grandparents, Gay Braun, Marian and Bill Jaeger and father-in-law, Wallace Latvala.

Visitation will be held 1-8pm Friday, March 23, 2018 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls.  No formal funeral service will be held.  Cremation will follow with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

The Braun family would like to thank Steve, Robert, Kris and Ian at EMG, Ashwaubenon Public Safety and St. Vincent Hospital ER for all their efforts in trying to extend Jamie’s life and comforting his family.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be set up in Jamie’s name.
