Bryant Michael Hodkiewicz

Jan 26, 1977 - Feb 18, 2024

Bryant Michael Hodkiewicz, 47, Stiles, was called to his eternal home in heaven on Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2024 surrounded by his loving family following a four year battle with illness.  The second of four sons of Michael and Mary (Scheffen) Hodkiewicz was born January 26, 1977.  Bryant grew up in Lena where he attended St. Charles Parochial school before graduating from Lena High School with the class of 1995.  Bryant graduated from Bellin College of Nursing and started work at the hospital.

On July 28, 2002 he married Kristin DePouw in South Lake Tahoe, CA and through God’s grace they built a life together and were blessed with three children.  Bryant worked as an orthopedic nurse at OSMS for over 20 years where he often referred to his coworkers as his second family.  He was a volunteer fireman for the Lena Fire Department and served along with his son, Cole.  He also enjoyed biking, golfing, traveling, sailing, time spent in Door County and watching sports, especially his children’s activities.  Bryant will be lovingly remembered for his honesty, hard work ethic, being a loving and faithful husband, devoted father and loyal friend.

Survivors are his wife, Kristin Hodkiewicz, Stiles; four children, Cole (Lindsay Korpi) Hodkiewicz, and Lindsay’s daughter Addisyn, Coleman; Rease, Brynn and Brooke Hodkiewicz, all at home; his parents, Mike and Mary Hodkiewicz, Lena; his maternal grandmother, Rita Scheffen; three brothers, Mitchell (Brooke) Hodkiewicz, Stiles; Nicholas (Heather) Hodkiewicz, Oconto Falls; Richard “Rick” Hodkiewicz, USAF, North Pole, AK; his in-laws, Don DePouw, Suamico and Lois DePouw, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Sarah Nerenhausen, Suamico;  numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by nephew Kyle Hodkiewicz, his paternal grandparents, Norman and Monica Hodkiewicz and his maternal grandfather, John Scheffen.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls.  Visitation will continue after 9:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2024 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5716 Main St. Abrams until the time of service.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the church with Pastor Matthew Stuebs officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Spruce.

Although we are deeply saddened by his death, we rejoice knowing he is at home in heaven where we will see him again.
