Victoria Lynn Belke

February 21, 1952 — September 10, 2025

Oconto Falls

Victoria Lynn Belke, 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, September 10th, 2025, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay with both of her granddaughters at her side. She was born on February 21, 1952, to Allen and Beverly (Martell) Gagnon in Green Bay, where she spent her childhood and teen years. The oldest of six children, she graduated from Bay Port High School, Class of 1970, and went on to work as a CNA at Sharpe Care Nursing Home in Oconto Falls. Later, while working full-time and raising two kids, she went back to school and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from UWGB in 1996. Upon completion of her degree, she secured a job at the Menominee County Department of Human Services, where she worked until her retirement in 2019. She had the perfect balance of strength and compassion-qualities that made her an exceptional social worker. She was deeply dedicated to her work, and to anyone who knew her, it was obvious that she loved her job and cherished the connections she created with countless families in Keshena. Even after retirement, she continued to make an impact by volunteering with Unity Hospice.

Vicki married Hugo Belke on January 9, 1971, in Green Bay. They were married for 54 ½ years and shared many fond memories fishing, making firewood, relaxing at their cabin in Dunbar, WI, and traveling the country on yearly road trips. They had two children together, Alan and Missy. She was very devoted and dedicated to her role as a mother. Later in life, she became a grandmother of three, embracing that role wholeheartedly. She was present at every milestone, hardship, and celebration in their lives. Being a grandma was one of the greatest joys of her life.

She loved her family deeply, her backyard and birds, and found tranquility and happiness in her flowers. She loved nature and all its wonders. Vicki was unapologetically herself-truly a firecracker, full of life, laughter, determination, and attitude that kept everyone on their toes. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Hugo; son, Alan Belke; grandchildren, Jordan Clark, Caleb Clark, and Corynn Belke; three sisters, Cathy (Mark) Hill, Julie (Mark) Gutowski, and Chrissy (Don Craig) Gussert; brother, Scott Gagnon; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Clark (2017), her parents Allen and Beverly, and her brother Steve Gagnon.

The family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Vicki's longtime oncologist, Dr. Maria de Villa. Her dedication and expertise truly set her apart, and we are forever thankful for having such an outstanding doctor by her side.

Visitation with the urn present will be held for family and friends after 4:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Pine Hill Cemetery, Town of Spruce.

In lieu of flowers, there will be a donation box at the service to benefit an organization close to Vicki's heart-the Menominee County Children's Disability Services where she worked. Checks can be made payable to Menominee County Health Services.
