Timm Grady

May 19, 1960 - Feb 15, 2023

Timm Grady, 62, Kelly Lake, died suddenly Wednesday morning, February 15, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital of a heart attack.  He was born May 19, 1960 in Oconto Falls to Bill and Marie (Shallow) Grady.  Timm attended St. Anthony grade school and graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1978.  While in high school, Timm or “Milt” as he was fondly known as, excelled in sports as quarterback of the football team, point guard of the basketball team and was a pitcher/1st baseman on the WI State Class B Championship team in his senior year.  He was also an All-Conference selection as a freshman in baseball at St. Norbert College in DePere.  Timm then started working for his parents in Grady Oil Co. which he eventually owned and operated until 2013.  Over the years, Timm played softball for Peterson Ford, Bayview, Yakers and The Hotel teams and coached high school baseball for many years.

On August 16, 1991 he married Debbie Leja in Oconto Falls and they made their home at Kelly Lake.  As an avid and competitive golfer, Timm was a longtime member of River Island Golf Club in Oconto Falls where he served on the board and as president.  Timm enjoyed golfing across the United States and several countries including Nova Scotia and England.  He also enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, attending major sporting events including 6 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final 4’s and 2 Ryder Cups.  Some of his recent memorable trips were a Rhine River Cruise in Europe and escorting his father Bill on a Korean Honor Flight to Washington, DC.

Survivors are his wife, Debbie Leja-Grady; his parents, Bill and Marie Grady; siblings, Joan (Ron) Curran, Jean (Tim) Lisowe and Chuck (Debbie Kane-Grady) Grady; his in-laws, Charles and Leona Leja; Debbie’s family, Dr. Loretta Leja, Ron (Cathy) Leja and Shirley (Trevor) Sains; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Steve) King; Becky (Kenny) Behnke, Amy (Troy) Brehmer and Courtney (Keaton) Kazik; Travis (Sarah) Grady; Andy, Becky and Chris Jackson; Ryan (Melissa) Leja, Renee (Travis) Falkowski, Rory Leja and Riley (Chuck) McDermid; Savana and Tanner Sains; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Everett “Ted” and Lucille Grady, his maternal grandparents, Oliver and Gladys Shallow Sr. and his brother-in-law, Dr. Douglas Jackson.

Visitation with the urn present will take place 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls.
