Robert M. Guelig passed away peacefully, December 8, 2025, at Meadowbrook Care Facility In Oconto Falls, WI. Robert was born November 9, 1948, to Arthur and Irene (LaRue) Guelig. Robert graduated from Lena High School, Class of 1966, where he lettered in band, football, and wrestling. As a young child he grew up on the family farm. Robert worked at the feedmill in Oconto Falls and Coleman as an Operations Specialist.
Robert went by many names, including Robert, Bob, and Bobby, but was universally known and loved as everyone's Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob was a gentle and caring man who was always ready to greet all he met with his quick sense of humor and a good old dad joke. Uncle Bob was his nieces and nephews favorite co-conspirator. He unconditionally loved his nieces and nephews, and saved them from scoldings from Grandma Guelig as they snuck cookies from the kitchen. He was also responsible for many untold, non-parent sanctioned adventures with said nieces and nephews.
In his youth, Bob played on many softball teams and was well-known for infamous knuckleball. Nothing kept him from the field as he was known to pull up in the feed truck in order to make it to the game on time. Bob had a life-long passion for draft horses and never forgot his beloved farm horse Birdie. He also enjoyed old western movies and western novels.
Bob loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and college football. He never shied away from yelling his opinion at the TV when games weren't going the way he expected. But no matter how his teams were or were not performing, Bob was a man of strong and deep faith in God and Family. He was a loving and caring brother to his sisters and brothers.
In later years, Bob enjoyed playing cards and crossword puzzles, even enlisting the help of his brothers over the phone. Despite the limitations of his health in his later years, Bob lived his life to the fullest and worked to bring a laugh or smile to everyone he encountered throughout his day. Everyone who met him or knew him, knew he had a genuine smile, time to listen, and a heart of gold.
