Robert Wayne Aprill Sr.

Robert Wayne Aprill Sr, 73, of Oconto Falls, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, with family by his side. He was born on May 21, 1953, to the late Donald and Velma (Birr) Aprill of Morgan. He graduated from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1971. Bob married Linda Weber on September 29, 1972. They have one child together, Bob Jr. 

He enjoyed growing up on the family farm in Morgan where he eventually took over and worked for a few years before passing it on to his siblings.

Bob was a skilled diesel mechanic, dedicating twenty years of his life to McDermid Corporations in the trucking industry. His expertise was not only in fixing machines but in fostering connections in the industry. A true enthusiast of motorcycles, Bob owned and worked on numerous bikes throughout his life. As the founder of the local Hog Chapter in Shawano and a long-time representative for ABATE of Wisconsin, he left an indelible mark on the motorcycle community, always advocating for safety and camaraderie among riders.

Beyond his mechanical prowess, Bob possessed a green thumb that flourished in his beloved garden, where he lovingly started plants from seed in his basement. His nurturing spirit extended to all aspects of his life, most notably within his family and church community. Deeply committed to his faith, Bob was a longtime member of St. John's Church in Morgan, where he contributed his time and talents to groundkeeping and the technical aspects of worship services. His dedication to his faith and church family was a guiding force throughout his life.As we bid farewell to Bob, we remember him not just for his accomplishments, but for the warmth he shared with all who knew him. He will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will live on in our hearts. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda; son, Bob Jr. (Paula) Aprill; dog and best bud Bentley; siblings, Daniel (Susan) Aprill, Kenneth Aprill, Cathy (Lyman) Wocking, Patti (Randle) Konkle, Larry (Nanette) Aprill, and Wendy (Rick) Soucek; and siblings-in-law, Ann (Carl) Miller, Larry (Pat) Weber, Maureen Weber, Barb Weber.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Velma; parents-in-law Jake and Winifred Weber; and brothers-in-law, Jake Weber, Keith Weber, Eddie Weber, and Curtis Runge.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon at St. John's Lutheran Church in Morgan, officiated by Pastor Katy Tomlanovich. 

A special thank you to the nurses at HSHS St. Clare and the staff of Unity Hospice, especially Ashley, Kiana, Wendy and Gail, who cared for Bob with such compassion.
