Riley Gostisha

September 5, 1978 — August 14, 2025

Beloit

Riley Joseph Gostisha passed away August 14, 2025 in Beloit, WI at the age of 46.

Riley was born the son of Joseph William Gostisha and Monica Lee Gostisha (Pavlovich) on September 5, 1978 in Iron Mountain, MI with his home in Goodman, WI. He moved with his parents to DePere, Green Bay, and eventually Oconto Falls, WI where he attended St. Anthony's Elementary, Washington Middle School, and graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1997.

A talented athlete, Riley played college baseball at UW-Parkside and High Point University in North Carolina, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management in 2002. He went on to pitch professionally for one season for the Chillicothe Paints in what was then, the Independent Frontier League.

After playing baseball, he worked in the Northwoods Collegiate League in Alexandria, MN and ultimately made his home in Beloit, WI working in management for the Beloit Snappers Minor League Baseball Club. He married Sarah Levi Bittorf in 2007, and became a proud stepfather to Sydney and Kloe Bittorf. In 2010, he welcomed his beloved daughter, Easton, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.

Throughout his career, Riley held positions in banking and manufacturing, but he enjoyed working in professional baseball management the most. Outside of work Riley had many interests such as woodworking, golfing and watching other sports. He savored spending time in the woods - walking along rivers and streams. He cherished the tradition of deer season and trout camp with his parents, his brother Jace, his Grandfathers and relatives. Those special times at the Goodman camps held a dear place in his heart.

Riley deeply loved his daughter Easton-she was his world-and he was incredibly proud of her, as well as of Sydney and Kloe. His brother, Jace, was one of Riley's closest companions, and their many adventures together created lasting memories. Riley also shared a strong bond with his sister-in-law Emily and nephew Jack. He valued time with all his extended family-his grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins-whom he loved dearly.

Riley was exuberant, competitive, and so full of energy. His warmth, charisma, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He will be missed beyond measure.

Riley is survived by his daughter Easton Riley Gostisha, Beloit, WI; stepdaughters Kloe Bittorf, Beloit, WI, and Sydney Bittorf, Jacksonville, FL; and step-granddaughter Blair Bittorf; ex-wife Sarah Gostisha, Beloit, WI. He is also survived by his parents, Joseph and Monica Gostisha, Oconto Falls, WI; brother Jace Frank Gostisha, sister-in-law Emily Fish Gostisha, and nephew Jack Gostisha of Schaumburg, IL; along with many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
