Patricia “Pat” Thomson

Patricia “Pat” Thomson, 84, Oconto Falls, went to her heavenly home early Thursday morning, March 31, 2022 at The Cottages in Oconto Falls.  She was born October 5, 1937 in Oconto Falls to Merdon “Bud” and Fern (Christensen) Drews.  She grew up in Oconto Falls where she graduated high school with the class of 1955.  Following graduation, she moved to Green Bay for employment before moving back home and working in the lab at the local paper mill.

On January 24, 1959 she married Dale Thomson and they had four sons.  Over the years, Pat was a secretary for the family business, Tisch and Drews Trucking before going to work at The Flower Shoppe as their delivery person, which at very busy times was accomplished with the help of her family and friends.  As a lifelong member of the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church, she served as church secretary for over 30 years while also serving on numerous committees and singing  in the church choir.  She also volunteered for the local hospital auxiliary and headed the gift shop for many years.  Pat was a lifelong member of River Island Golf Club in Oconto Falls, a golf course her family was instrumental in helping build, where she enjoyed her Tuesday Women’s League and golfing with her lady friends.  She was also an avid bowler.  As a sports enthusiast, Pat enjoyed following all Wisconsin sports teams and especially her boy’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors are her four sons, Jeff (Ruth Spang) Thomson, Gillett; John (Tammy) Thomson, Joe (Dee) Thomson, all of Oconto Falls; Jim (Laura) Thomson, Spruce; 11 grandchildren, Mitchell, Bradley (Heather) Thomson and Cristy Meunier, Andrea Beaumier, Amy (Kyle) Greetan, Kendra (Bryan) Wolf, Jared and Adam Thomson, Zander Thomson, Ashley Toth and Erika (Patrick) Gregorius; 15 great grandchildren, Victoria Kozlovsky, Lexie Toth and Ella Dakins, Blake and Zoey Thomson, Rex, Tayah and Clark Greeten, Jack, Sam and Maggie Wolf, Klaire, Eli, Emerick and Roman Gregorius; she was looking forward to becoming a great-great grandma this July; one sister, Karen (David) Heinbuch, Sun Prairie; one brother, Don Drews Sr., Lena; two brothers-in-law, Ronald (Karen) Thomson, Robert (Vicki) Thomson, all of Oconto Falls; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale in 2011, one great grandson, Buck Kozlovsky, two sisters-in-law, Pat Drews and Yvonne (Robert) Telford.

Visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls.  Visitation will continue at the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church after 9:00 am Friday, April 8, 2022 until the time of service.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the church with Pastor Sherwin Parmar officiating.  Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

The Thomson family would like to thank The Cottages at MeadowLands and Heartland Hospice for the care and concern shown Pat during their time together.
