Kenneth H. Keith Sr.

Mar 22, 1943 - Oct 05, 2023

Kenneth Henry Keith, 80, Suring, died Thursday, October 5, 2023 surrounded by his family at St Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay.  He was born in Oconto Falls to Henry and Josephine (Urbanek) Keith on March 22, 1943.  Ken grew up in Oconto Falls where he attended elementary school, became a member of St Anthony’s Congregation and later graduated from Oconto Falls High School Class of 1961.

Following graduation from high school, he took on several different professions. He was employed for Clintonville Four Wheel Drive, a commercial truck driver and a mechanic on the builds of fire trucks.  On his path to the great outdoors, Ken also took on running a fully operated cattle farm while raising his five children in Menominee, WI for several years.  Returning to Oconto Falls, he began to install cabinets for Goodell/Hanson Cabinets and worked a few side jobs along the way.  He began his next adventure of many years cashiering and accounting for Oneida Casino in Green Bay.  During this time he met Janet, his companion of 24 years and together they built a life of sharing many of the same hobbies and interests. They retired from the hustle and bustle and moved to Suring to continue those interest so they could relax and enjoy their families, nature, and traveling.  Ken cherished his time spent with family and always enjoyed volunteering and helping others. His Children and nature were truly his passion.  From hunting, fishing, wood working, or just being outside watching the birds, the deer or tinkering in the garage or in the garden were special to him.  On many camping trips with family, Ken always enjoyed a cup of coffee and starting a bonfire.  We wish his travels to be spread wide as he enters the next chapter of his life, all will sadly miss him.

Survivors include companion of 24 years Janet Mier of Suring; his five children, Lisa Keith, Green Bay; Kenneth (Jayme) Keith Jr, Oconto Falls; Karmen Keith, Green Bay; Lora (Brian) Simonson, Lena; Lana (Dan) Massie, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Shane (Candice) Keith and Alyssa Jeranek (Justin) all of Lena, Mitchell Keith, Oconto Falls, Markel Keith (Colton), Zachary Simonson, Mariah Simonson (Christopher) and Mason Simonson (Topanga) all of Lena; five great grandchildren, Landon Monfort, Lavin Stockman (Keith), Lily Keith, Lexus Keith, Matthew Jaranek and Eli Klind; one brother, Alfred (Shirley) Keith, Minneapolis, MN; one sister Kathy Heckendorf, Green Bay; his nephews and nieces, Aaron Keith, Sabina Keith, and Amanda Keith all of Minneapolis, MN; Laurie and Lynn Heckendorf both of Green Bay; his extended family includes Mavis Mier, Howard (April) Lucas, grandchildren Randy, Adam and Bri Lucas; great grandchildren, Randy and Willow Neaveh, Piper and Derringer Lucas.
