Judy Mae Ama, 84, of Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, passed away on February 25, 2026. She was born on May 29, 1941, to Frank and Alice (Severson) Bublitz. Judy graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1959. On May 29, 1970, she married Dario Ama at Bethel Lutheran Church in Green Valley, Wisconsin.
Judy was a proud member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Judy affectionately cared for others, including years of dedicated service volunteering at the Kingdom Come Food Pantry in Oconto Falls. Judy was blessed with the gift of playing the piano and knitting, both of which she took much pride in. In most recent years, she was lovingly known as the unofficial tour guide for the Cottages at Meadowlands where she resided for the last four years.
Judy was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for her family. She treasured the moments spent with her loved ones and created many lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire her family and friends.
Judy is survived by two sons, Larry Ama (Mineral Wells, TX) and Corey (Nicole) Ama (Lena, WI), daughter-in-law, Mary Ama (Green Bay, WI), sister, Lela (Joe) Gilmore (Tremonton, UT), seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dario Ama, three sons, Jim Ama, Ricky Ama, Dan Ama, brother-in-law, Randall "Hook" Ama and sister-in-law, Nathalie Martens.
Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Visitation will continue after 9:30 am Friday, March 6, 2026 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the church with Pastor Keith Sorlie officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
The Ama family would like to thank the staff at the Cottages at Meadowlands for the love and care shown to Judy during her time with them.
