Janet L. Knaus

Janet L. Knaus, 95, Lena, joined her husband on Monday afternoon, December 5, 2022 at Meng Unity Hospice facility.  She was born May 4, 1927 in Richland County, WI.

On April 2, 1960 she married Loren C. Knaus in Dubuque, IA.  The couple lived in Milwaukee where Janet was once employed at Columbia Hospital until retiring to Lena in 1987.

Survivors are one son, Ted (Barb) Merwin, Lena; one daughter-in-law, Joylynn Merwin, Racine; three grandchildren, Todd (Anna) Peters, Teddy (Tracy) Merwin and Reilly (Chris) Hage; six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, husband Loren in 2016, son Bill Merwin, a granddaughter Brianne, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls, with a service of remembrance to follow.
