Janet “Jan” Courchaine, 81, Suring, died Monday, April 25, 2022 at The Bay at Suring following a short stay.  Jan was one of eight children and had a twin brother, they were born February 19, 1941 in West Allis to Jack and Viola (Pahl) Brandon.  She grew up in the West Allis area in orphanages and foster homes.

On June 4, 1960 she married Francis “Frank” Courchaine in Milwaukee and they had three children.  The couple and their young family moved to Green Valley in 1970 and Jan was employed at Elliott Glove in Gillett for over 25 years.

Survivors are her two daughters, Brenda Courchaine, Shawano; Deb (Kevin) Courchaine, Breed; three grandchildren, Amanda and Travis Zippel, Shawn (Larry) Kaczrowski; one great grandchild, Austin Swanson; one brother, Richard “Butch” (Debra) Brandon, Peshtigo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank in 2016, son Steve in 1988, four brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services with the urn present will take place 11:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
