Abrams

Elaine Marian Truckey, 62, of Abrams, died on July 24, 2026 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on August 15, 1963, in Green Bay to Leopold and Marilyn (Malich) Nikowitz. She graduated from Green Bay East High School with the Class of 1981. She married Alvin Truckey in Green Bay on April 14, 1990.

Elaine was a truly selfless person, always putting the needs of her family and friends ahead of her own. She was a loving wife to her husband, Al, devoted mother to her children, Rachel and Luke, and dedicated grandmother to her grandson, Tucker. Her dog, Lady, and several grandpups also held a special place in her heart. Her warmth and kindness extended to all those she met.

She was known for her deep love for family, spending weekends at the cabin, enjoying boat rides, bird watching, and sharing her delicious caramel bars. She will be remembered for her generous heart and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Professionally, she was a dedicated employee at KI for over 35 years.

Elaine will be profoundly missed by her husband, Al; children, Rachel (Erik) Fonder and Luke (Callie) Truckey; and grandson, Tucker Fonder. She is further survived by siblings, Anne Pellerin, Barb (Tom) Hoppe, Leo (Kathy) Nikowitz, Claire (Jeff LaPlante) Nikowitz, Diane (Rocky) Compton, Mike Nikowitz, and Neal Nikowitz; and siblings-in-law, Sharon (Dave) Kush, Mary (Chuck) Dahlke, Sue (Mark) Van Pay, and Ron (Chris) Truckey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Marilyn; infant sister, Frances Nikowitz; and siblings-in-law, Greg Pellerin, and Janine Nikowitz.

A visitation for family and friends will be held after 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Sobieski. Funeral mass will follow at 12:00 PM.

A special thank you to the fourth floor staff at Bellin Hospital and the nurses from Unity Hospice, especially Jen.
