Ed Mayo

Jun 09, 1962 - Jun 12, 2021

Ed Mayo, 59, Green Bay, died suddenly of natural causes at home Saturday, June 12, 2021. The youngest child of David and Phyllis (Clausen) Mayo was born June 9, 1962 in Redwood, CA. As a child, he moved with his family to the Lena, WI area. He attended public schools and worked at Bond Pickle in Oconto before graduating Lena High School with the class of 1980. He also enjoyed his dirt bike and Ford Mustang in his youth. Ed then attended UW-Whitewater where he earned his business degree. While in college, he drove school bus, bartended and worked at the airport in Lake Geneva.

Ed worked most of his adult life as a medical device salesman with different companies. He enjoyed following and supporting his two sons in their athletic activities, especially when they attended Southwest High School. Ed will be fondly remembered as someone who liked staying busy with numerous home improvement projects, tinkering with inventions, enjoying the family cottage at Crivitz, warm weather and ocean beaches.

Edward is survived by his two sons; James (Loren Metoxen) Mayo, Green Bay, and Michael (Danielle Woody) Mayo, Menomonie, WI, and their mother; one sister, Amy (Joseph) Mullen, CO; two brothers, Kelly (Barbara Lore Mayo) Mayo, IL; Steven (Jarod Pobst) Mayo, Burlington; brother-in-law Greg (JoAnn) Miller, Oconto Falls; sister-in-law, Lori (Tim Nysted) Mayo, Oregon, WI; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Phyllis Mayo and sister Kathy Miller.
