Dorothy DeCloux

Dorothy DeCloux, 103, Oconto Falls, died peacefully Saturday morning, June 16, 2018 at Lakewood Assisted Living surrounded by family.  She was born January 20, 1915 in Oconto Falls to Robert and Florence (Olson) Damp Jr.

Dorothy lived in Oconto Falls for most of her life where she worked at a local canning factory and Sonny’s Restaurant before retiring from Mirro.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls.  Dorothy enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, crocheting and working in her yard well into her late 90’s.  She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Survivors are her three daughters, Donna Blaser, Suamico; Barbara (Chester) Konitzer, Oconto Falls; Connie (James) Mauel, Townsend; 12 grandchildren, Jerry Blaser, Tom (Julie) Blaser, Kim Blaser, Rick (Cathy) Blaser and Cindy (Jay) Dittmer; Bonnie (Jerry) Buelteman, Kathy Konitzer, Don Konitzer, Jay Konitzer, Bruce Konitzer and Lynette Konitzer; Shawn (Kristy) Wurzer; 15 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerome DeCloux, three brothers, Sonny, Donny and James Damp and two sisters, Lieta Kilmer and Edith Gilbertson, grandson Jeff Konitzer, son-in-law Dean Blaser, granddaughter-in-law Linda Blaser and good friend Bernice Wild.

Visitation will be held after 9am Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service.  Funeral services will be held 10:30am Saturday at the church with Pastor Gary R. Olson officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
