Donald Frank Koebach, 71, of Oconto Falls, affectionately known as “Big D”, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 4, 1954 in Oconto Falls to Joseph Koebach and Edna (Fischer) Koebach. He graduated from Oconto Falls High School with class of 1973. Donald married the love of his life, Tami Lynn (Henne), on August 19, 1978.
Donny worked for Egan Machine for years until they closed their doors. He then worked at Renco Machine until he retired. He spent a good portion of his retirement spoiling his fur pup Kalli Koebach taking her for long car rides. Donny loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He was the life of the party. His joy came from making people laugh and feeling welcomed. He loved going to the Dells with family every year, hosting pond parties, singing, dancing and summer holidays at their campsite “making memories” with friends and family. Donny was always quick to lend a hand and to share his homemade pickles and a beer (or multiple).
Donny was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his wife, Tami; his children, Misty (Chad) Gilbertson and Dustin (Heather) Koebach; his treasured grandsons, Luke (girlfriend Keira Cole) and Aaron; sister, Renetta Benedum; and brother‑in‑law, Vernon Lockstein. Donny leaves behind his beloved furry companion, Kalli‑Girl, along with his cherished grand pups, Zeus and Gilbert. He is further survived and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna; his stepmother, Eleanor; three brothers, Joseph Jr. “Butch”, Herman, and Richard “Ric”; and his sister, Shirley Ann (Koebach) “Lovee” Lockstein.
A visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Service on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM. A celebration of life & meal to follow.
A heartfelt thank you to Donny’s sister-in-law, Dawn Coppens, for her unwavering love, care, and support. We would also like to thank the Unity Hospice team, Ashley, Ashley, Skylar, Nicole, and Erin for the exceptional care and support.
