Delores E. LaBrosse

Jun 19, 1948 - Mar 07, 2024

Delores E (Scott) LaBrosse, 75, Oconto Falls, WI, born June 19, 1948, in Oconto Falls to Richard & Ruth (Brooks) Scott, died on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Her dad had told her that he had expected a boy, however the road from Stiles to Oconto Falls hospital was “so ruff, it shook the nuts off of her.”

Delores grew up in the Stiles/Oconto Falls area and lived for the past 40 years in the Town of Morgan.  Delores was a 1966 graduate of Oconto Falls High School.  At a 15-year class reunion, she met and then married her high school friend and soul mate, Bill LaBrosse.  They were married 40+ wonderful years.

Delores worked most of her working years in the food service business.  In 1989, she purchased the Penguin Family Restaurant and owned and operated it as Scottie’s Family Restaurant.  The business was sold in 1993.  Years later, she was employed as a dispatcher with ASI North American Van Lines and has since been retired for 13 years.

Delores enjoyed flower gardening and appreciated the many compliments that come with the hard work and enjoyment she put into it. She loved cooking and baking for her family, which everyone can attest to by having a favorite Delores dish. She was an avid party hostess, notorious prankster, and kid at heart. However, her greatest joy came with spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her dog Lucy.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Ruth Scott, two brothers, Richard Scott, Lonnie Scott, one sister, Helen Scott.  Five brother-in-laws, Clay Davis, Col. Robert Thomson, Thomas Shepro, John Hylok, and David Blom. Sister-in-laws, Mary Shepro, LaVerne McHugh, and Sandra Scott.

She is survived by her husband, William A. LaBrosse and three children, Tammy (Tim) Birr, Oconto Falls, Jennifer (Jeff) Zisser, Madison, and Jessica (Michael) Small, Madison.  Eight grandchildren, Victoria LaBrosse, Emily (Bryan) Maring, John Birr, Sarah Zisser, Joesph Zisser, Claire Zisser, Lauren Small, James Small.

Five brother in-laws, Ron Lupien, Jerry Kern, Pete McHugh, Ralph LaBrosse, Tom LaBrosse.

Six sister in-laws, Sally Scott, Genevieve Thomson, Sally Lupien, Pat Kern, Dee Blom, Kyong LaBrosse.

A life-long friend, Mary Lou (Tisch) Hardke.  Her faithful dog, Lucy.

A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Aurora Hospital, Tender Hearts, and Heartland Hospice.
