David James Saffran

David James Saffran, age 68, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born on July 26, 1957, David was the son of Walter and Lorna Saffran, who preceded him in death.

David proudly served in the United States Army and later worked for the Marathon County Sheriff's Department as a Public Safety Telecommunicator for two decades.

Though he lived a quiet and independent life, David cared deeply for people in his own way and maintained connections that were meaningful to him throughout the years. He had a generous heart and was known for helping others when he could.

He is survived by his brother, Tim (Sue) Saffran, along with extended family and friends who will remember him in their own special ways.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls, WI. Interment will take place at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
