Bruce A. Binkowski

May 16, 1965 - Mar 24, 2022

Bruce A. Binkowski, 56, Sobieski, died suddenly of natural causes Thursday evening, March 24, 2022 at one of his favorite places, his families’ cabin at Half Moon Lake, with some of his loved ones present, including his dog and best buddy, Iowa. Bruce was born May 16, 1965 in Oconto Falls to Jerry and Janice (Grady) Binkowski.  Bruce “Elmo” grew up with his big brothers Scott and Jeff and younger sister Sara in Oconto Falls where he attended school, graduating with the class of 1983.

On November 25, 1997 he married Jaynie Sellen in Jamaica.  The couple has lived in the Sobieski area for most of their married lives and have been blessed with three daughters Katelyn (22), Jenna (19), & Lauren (16).  As a master electrician, Bruce has been employed by Faith Technologies for over 20 years and was currently in management with their commercial construction division.  He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Kunesh.

Bruce was a family man. His heart and soul were wrapped up in being a father and a husband. His world truly revolved around Jaynie and the girls. From basketball for Katelyn, soccer for Lauren, to swim meets for Jenna, to the endless hours as their personal chauffeur – he was there for it all. He especially enjoyed taking the family on special family camping trips and vacations. Nothing brought Bruce more joy than making memories and spending time with family. His legacy of love and devotion to his family will never be forgotten and will be carried on through his wife and daughters for generations to come.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jaynie Binkowski; their three daughters, Katelyn, Jenna and Lauren; his parents, Jerry and Janice Binkowski; two brothers, Scott (Cheryl) Binkowski; Jeff (dear friend Virginia Janssen) Binkowski; one sister, Sara (Matt) Johnson; his mother-in-law, Dolores Sellen, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cheryl (Tom) Clark; Carmyn (Mark) Gittleman; Jeffrey (Brenda) Sellen, and many nieces, nephews, dear friends and his Faith Technologies family.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Calvin Sellen.

Visitation will be held after 3:00 pm Friday, April 1, 2022 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1954 Cty. Rd. U, Green Bay until the time of service.  Funeral services will take place 7:00 pm Friday at the church with Pastor Stuart Dornfeld officiating.  Cremation will follow with burial of the urn in Chase Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Bruce’s father Jerry Binkowski, relatives Bruce Allen and Carl Vowinkel, along with the Oconto County Sheriff’s department, the Brazeau Rescue Squad, and medical staff at HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital.
