Andrew Matekine Jr.

Andrew Matekine Jr., loved son of Andrew Matekine and Rose (Bizefski) Matekine, passed away peacefully on the evening of October 30, 2025. 

Andrew was born in Spokane, Washington, while his father was stationed there. The family later moved to Milwaukee, where Andrew attended grade school, and when he was 12, they settled in Middle Inlet. It was there that he made lifelong memories, and called home until he joined the Army at just 17 years old. 

He proudly served in the Special Troops, 101st Airborne Division, dedicating himself with strength and courage. After his service, Andrew returned to Wisconsin, where he worked as Head of Security for Harley-Davidson and Pick ’n Save Roundy’s in Milwaukee. 

Andrew had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace in hunting, camping, fishing, and traveling, and he especially enjoyed sharing those moments with the people he loved most. 

He will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, and his big heart.

Andrew is survived by his children and his brother, who will forever carry his memory with love. 

Per Andrew’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
